During the last few months, we have been updating our website with a vast range of information.

We commit to being open and transparent about how we carryout the business and functions of the council.

Therefore, on this website you can find a range of information about the Council - more information will be added each month.

We commit to making it easier for residents of, and those who have an interest in the parish of Toft Newton to find information, to interact with the Parish Council and to have your say on issues that may impact you.

Toft Newton Parish Councillors

Your Parish Councillors for the 2026-27 municipal year are:

Each Councillor is required to sign a Declaration of Acceptance of Office and complete a Register of Interests form on their election or co-option. In accordance with the Locality Act 2011, West Lindsey District Council display the Register of Interest forms on their website, you can view the current Register of Interests for our Parish Councillors here.


Currently, Toft Newton Parish Council do not have any vacancies for Councillors, however, on the 5th of May 2026, Councillors resolved to introduce a Co-option Policy and Co-option Application Form to make the process of future Co-options more equitable. If you would like to join Toft Newton Parish Council as a Councillor, please read our policy and submit a completed copy of the application form to the Proper Officer (details on the Contact page), who will be in touch when vacancies arise.


The next Parish Council Elections throughout Greater Lincolnshire are due on Thursday, the 6th of May 2027. 

Voting:

  • You can register to vote here.
  • If you intend on voting in person, you will need photo ID, you can find out what ID is accepted here.
  • If you do not have photo ID, you can apply for a Voter Authority Certificate here.
  • You can register to vote by post here.
  • You can apply for a proxy vote here.

If voting in person, the polling station will be Toft Newton Village Hall, Washington Drive, Newtoft, LN8 3NN. The polling station opening hours are 7am to 10pm, if you are in a queue before 10pm, stay in the line, as you will be able to vote.

Changes are being made to elections law, from the next General Election (due in 2029), 16 and 17 year olds will be able to vote in all areas of the UK. You can read more here.


 

 

Report issues within the parish

Fix My StreetReport issues with footpaths, streetlighting, potholes, localised flooding, roads and more via Fix My Street.

Once a report is submitted it will be sent to either Lincolnshire County Council or West Lindsey District Council the Toft Newton Parish Council Clerk will also be notified, so that they can chase up the issue if necessary.

If you wish to report issues directly to the Parish Council Clerk, please contact them using the details on the Contact us page.

If you have had an accident on land or while using Parish Council owned equipment, please complete the first two pages of this Accident Report form and e-mail it to the Clerk who will be in touch to obtain further information. We aim to introduce a web-based report form in due course.
