Job Vacancy: Playground Warden

Rate of pay: £12.85 to £13.47 per hour

Toft Newton Parish Council are recruiting a new Playground Warden, to start ASAP.

The Playground Warden will be employed for 1 hour a week, to be worked flexibly across the week.

The Playground Warden will be responsible for checking the park equipment and helping to keep Newtoft Park clean and safe.

This will involve undertaking weekly visual checks and completing simple risk assessments for the Playground equipment, the bins, the benches and tables, and reporting any issues to the Clerk of Toft Newton Parish Council.

The Playground Warden is also responsible for completing the weekly visual check of the Defibrillator, located on the wall at the front of Toft Newton Village Hall.

There may be some lifting of bags of bark chippings or rock salt involved, and the ability to carry out some very basic maintenance would be beneficial.

This post is based outside, and may require some evening, weekend or bank holiday working.

Playground Inspection Training can be provided.

This would be an excellent job for someone who lives locally and wants to fit it in around their other commitments.
