Supporting Local Town and Parish Councils
We are keen to support other local Town and Parish Councils and therefore, can offer the following to our neighbouring Councils.
New Councillor Training
We are looking to offer a New Councillor Training session to our newly Co-opted Councillors and would happily open this up to other local Town and Parish Councils.
Details can be found here.
Routine Inspections of Childrens Playgrounds
Toft Newton Parish Council can help neighbouring parish councils with Routine Playground Inspections.
In May 2025, two of our Staff qualified in Routine Inspections of Children's Playgrounds, and are included in the Register of Play Inspectors International.
We can support your local parish with one-off, ad-hoc, weekly (or any other pattern) Playground Inspections.
Contact us to discuss how we can help.
Locum Clerk
Our recently retired Clerk can support neighbouring Parish Councils by providing short-term Locum Clerk support.
Having worked in the local government sector at various points, with more than 20 years' experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge to the Clerking role. As a Clerk he worked at four different Parish Council's in four neighbouring counties so is familiar with different support strutures, across district, county and unitary councils.
