West Lindsey District Council have re-opened the consultation period into the planning application WL/2025/00687.
In August 2025 a planning application was submitted to West Lindsey District Council for the development of a Chicken Farm in Faldingworth.
Despite being outside of our parish, Toft Newton Parish Council submitted a response, rejecting the proposal. However, as the planning application is not within our parish, our consultation response is unlikely to have any sway over Councillors on West Lindsey District Council's Planning Committee.
However, as the wind blows from South South East to West South West from Faldingworth to the parish of Toft Newton for the majority of the year, we feel that any odour produced by the Chicken Farm could be blown over our parish more than it would be blown in other areas. Therefore, we decided to submit a response last year.
Now, West Lindsey District Council have re-opened the planning consultation as the applicant has submitted revised documents. You can review and respond to the consultation here. The submission date for the consultation response is the 22nd of October 2026.
