Toft Newton Parish Council have become an Armed Forces Covenant organisation.
Following in the footsteps of several other local Council's, including West Lindsey District Council, the City of Lincoln Council and Lincolnshire County Council, Toft Newton Parish Council have recently signed the Armed Forces Covenant.
Some public sector organisations are duty bound to sign to Covenant, such as those that provide healthcare, housing, financial services and eduction, training or employment for current or former armed forces personnel.
Toft Newton Parish Council are not duty bound to sign the Covenant, but felt that doing so, would demonstrate our commitment to those residents who currently serve, or have previously served in any of the UK's armed forces. This is particularly important to our parish, because of our heirtage, which saw Newtoft developed as off-base Officers' accommodation for RAF Faldingworth.
We will shortly be adding a printed copy of our certificate to the memorial wall within Toft Newton Village Hall.
There is an online searchable directory that lists both government and charity support available to veterans and their families, allowing veterans to find help locally and nationally. You can search by topic and location for easy access to appropriate support.
