West Lindsey District Council have begun their annual electoral canvass.

Each year West Lindsey District Council's Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) is required by law to conduct an annual canvass of all residential properties in West Lindsey to ensure the Electoral Register is accurate and complete. The purpose of the annual canvass is to identify everyone who should be on the Register and delete any entries that are now incorrect (such as when someone has moved house).

Following the introduction of new legislation by the Government in 2020, the way the annual canvass is conducted has changed. All households in the district will still be contacted, but the format of the correspondence and the date that it is sent will vary.

You can find out more information here.

Be sure to complete the registration form when it arrives, because in May 2027, there will be elections to Toft Newton Parish Council and all other Councils in Greater Lincolnshire, although, we don't quite know what those authorities will look like from April 2027, it is still important to register to vote. If you are not registered you cannot vote.
